Cleveland with Irene

Irene at the canal in Cleveland. The boats were pulled by mules that walked on each side of the canal. Funny, huh?
On our way to downtown.
Irene's dad helped to restore a building at this cemetery, that's why we went there. I had never seen this kind of gravestone and headstone layout. The big stone in the middle has the names and dates of the deceased, the small stones around it mark the actual grave of each person. Some of the stones don't have names on them but words like "mother", "daughter", etc.
Downtown Cleveland again. I finally reached Lake Erie. Ever since I had found out that I was going to be in Ohio I wanted to see the lake. On my very last day in the U.S. I finally made it there.

It was a perfect time of the day for me to go there, since I have always loved sunsets. See for yourself:

This is a dog whose owner was smart enough to bring a tennis ball and a racket to the lake. The dog literally and figuratively had a ball.

Irene and her brother
Bye, bye, lake!

The next day I took another plane, this time all the way home to Graz.
