Ferry from Battery Park to Staten Island

We went to the southern tip of Manhattan. This is where Battery Park is located, check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_Park_(New_York)
Initially, we wanted to take one of those tour boats the go to Ellis Island and the statue of Liberty but the line was too long, so we decided to take the ferry to Staten Island. It was great because I didn't want to do too much of a touristy thing and it was for free! It was hard for us to believe that, as everything else tends to be quite pricey in this city.

Now I regret that I didn't buy a picture. Very interesting and very sad. Read about the sphere on wikipedia.

Everybody knows who this is, right?

Yes, I really was on this ferry that went from Manhattan to Staten Island and back on this beautiful day in October.

I forget the name of this bridge but it definitely looked great.

Looking back at Manhattan's financial district. It's amazing! I also loved the sailboat in front of it - of course!

getting closer again.
