First day I: Central Park

The first thing we did when I arrived in New York was to check out Central Park and vicinity (which would be the most part of Manhattan). The weather was beautiful! I was totally amazed by pretty much everything and Robin, David and me had a great time.

Proud New Yorkers showing off their city. There is a lot to show off!

I would like to know how many movies had a scene in them that played in this part of the park.

There are lots of artists performing all over the park. Here's one of them.

More artists/musicians.

Robin and me in front of the fountain. Another popular part of the park.

I loved these trees ...

... and I think David did, too. Robin took a picture as well, so, obviously, we all agreed that it was very beautiful.

I was fascinated to see rocks like the one in this picture. There were quite a few of them and I hadn't expected Central Park to look so "wild".

I didn't even tell them to look cool! It comes natural to real New Yorkers, I guess.

It's crazy to be surrounded by the park and have views like this one. I was pretty overwhelmed.

Even more impressive.

One of the really wild parts of the park. Remember, we are still in the middle of Manhattan, New York City. I constantly had to remind myself of that fact. Partly because I simply couldn't believe I was really there. THE city... I still find it hard to believe.

I think this picture was taken across the reservoir, still central park. I am not sure...Robin and David, send me a short note in case I am mistaken!

The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art. "The Met"... Shame on me, though - I didn't go inside...next time!
