Day Three - Brooklyn Bridge, Soho, Tribeca, Columbia University, Riverside Park, Korean dinner
Another amazing day in THE city: Robin and me took the subway and actually left Manhattan to walk the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan.

First glimpse at Manhattan bridge
We went to this park in DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), which is between Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge. It was absolutely amazing. I loved this place. The view was breathtaking, as you will see.

I love this picture. This is the Brooklyn bridge and the high rises at the southern tip of Manhattan

We do what every tourist has to do: we walk the bridge. However, not only tourists but also New Yorkers like this walk.

New York's town hall
Back in the financial district, I seized the oportunity to take a picture of this guy in a suite with coffee to go. Cliché ...
Again, the town hall
Food stand

I liked what they did with the "post no bills" message
It was so strange when I saw what was written here. First, Magna reminded me of Magna Steyr, an Austrian (?) company and Bergen reminded me of the Norwegian town Bergen. This place is in New Jersey, however.
Yes, fire escapes... on this narrow building, the Miró Café
Since I find shopping for clothes a nuisance, I felt attracted to this store
Entering the famous district of Soho (= South Houston, not pronounced like Whitney but rather "hauston")
Bloomingdales

We cross Wooster street.
I bought a ring from this artist

I managed to resist the temptation to buy a "friends" script

There it is, my new ring

In the subway going north to meet David and check out his university
You might have heard of it... Columbia University, very famous ivy league, breeding nobel prize winners. David is working on his PhD there. I am very envious!
